The realm of the Medieval Fae Fest summons nobles, fae folk, knights, elves, witches, and all magical beings to take the stage and dazzle in our grand Costume Contest on Saturday, August 9th!

🌿 Event Details 🌿

  • Contest Begins: 3:00 PM CST (Registration closes at 2:30 PM)

  • Winners Proclaimed: 5:00 PM CST on the Main Stage

📝 To Enter the Realm of Contestants:

  • Download your registration scroll below or visit the Cosplayer’s Booth between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM.

  • Arrive in full garb for a quick portrait at registration—no mortal attire, please!

  • Registration closes promptly at 2:30 PM.

👑 Categories of Glory:

  • Kids (Under 13): For young heroes, fae, and adventurers ready to shine.

  • Adult (13 and over): For seasoned creators eager to display their masterful designs.

📜 Laws of the Land:

  • Designers & Models: A designer may send forth a champion to model their creation, but must be present at judging to claim any prize.

  • No Legendary Repeats: Costumes that have won previous contests may not enter again.

  • Footwear Required: Even forest sprites must wear shoes in public spaces.

  • Keep It Enchanting, Not Scandalous: Costumes must remain PG-13.

  • Epic Armor = Epic Awareness: If your costume is grand or bulky, bring a trusted escort and mind your steps.

  • Safety Above All:

    • No sharp steel, real weapons, or dangerous props.

    • Only foam or plastic weapons allowed.

    • No fire, smoke, fog, or foul odors.

    • All props will be inspected by festival guardians.

  • Respect the Realm: No threatening gestures with props. Ask kindly before taking photos.

🧚 Important Decrees:

  • Rules may be adjusted to keep all folk safe and joyful.

  • Questions: Send a raven (or email) with the subject “Costume Contest” to medievalfaefest@gmail.com.

  • Check Registration: Email “Medieval Fae Costume Contest Enquiry” to the same address (allow 14 days for reply if applying online).

  • Members of the festival’s council, their kin, and staff are not eligible to compete. (This includes spouses, parents, siblings, children, nieces/nephews, grandchildren, and grandparents—by blood, marriage, or adoption.)

Welcome, mortals and immortals alike! The air is thick with ancient magic and the sweet scent of enchanted blooms. At the Medieval Fae Fest, we invite you to step through the veil and into the mystical realm of Fairy kind for our legendary cosplay showcase!

This year, the spotlight is on the delicate, mischievous, and powerful denizens of the glades: the Fae. Whether you hail from the Seelie or Unseelie courts, flit from flower to flower as a garden sprite, or rule a hidden kingdom deep in the woods, let your imagination take flight!

Medieval Fae Fest Costume Contest Registration Form

All contestants must be registered by 2:30 PM CST.

  • Costumes must be PG-13, with shoes worn in public spaces.
  • No real weapons, sharp objects, or hazardous props.
  • Bulky costumes must have an escort.
  • Respect fellow attendees at all times.
  • No previously awarded costumes permitted.
  • Props and costumes will be inspected for safety.

Waiver of Liability & Photo Release

I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if under 18), acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in the Medieval Fae Fest Costume Contest.

I understand that participation may involve physical activity and interaction with others, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Medieval Fae Fest, its organizers, directors, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and property owners from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, or losses arising from or related to my participation in this event.

I also grant Medieval Fae Fest the right to photograph, record, or otherwise capture my image and costume during the event and to use such media for promotional or archival purposes without compensation.
